Research on Statistical Machine Translation and relationships between natural languages, using statistical models and tools.
I enhanced a system for Html parsing and automatic translation of web pages. I had to make this web translator suitable for new tecnologies, through opensource tools.
I used C/C++, Perl and shell scripts for networking, integration and maintenance of the various components of the system, on RedHat Linux distributed servers.
I designed, implemented, built and managed specific Client-Server architectures for this system's requirements, with special care to management and availability of shared resources, in multithreaded contexts.
Building of models for mapping of natural languages: I used to deal with Japanese - English parallel texts for automatic translations.
I managed specific problems of character encodings and conversions, both of HTML pages and training corpora, to ensure good quality translations.
