We believe Lifestories is the first business in the United States videotaping the autobiographies of extraordinary "ordinary" Americans on a mass-market basis - at a price point everyone can afford.
The company's principal, Dr. Ellen Brandt, is both an Ivy League-educated Ph.D. historian and a high-volume business and consumer journalist, with over 3,000 magazine articles to her credit.
Joint-venture offshoots of Lifestories are Recollections, which conducts generational history activity groups for residents of nursing homes and assisted-living facilities, and Commemorations, which, in conjunction with mortuary chains, videotapes reminiscences of recently-deceased loved ones as part of the bereavement and healing process.
