Public Relations Intern at Brandware Public Relations
Athens, Georgia Area
I am a senior at The University of Georgia majoring in Public Relations and working towards a New Media Certificate. I'm thrilled to be a young PR professional when the industry is changing constantly. I'm currently focused on how to integrate social and new media into traditional media relations and promotional campaigns.
With the use of new media and social media in PR, internal and external relationships have developed into two-way conversations. My goal is to develop the skills necessary to assist a company in becoming more dynamic and utilizing the insightful information social media offers clients.
Through this career path, I will further causes which I believe are important: education and sustainability. Children are the leaders of the future, and through education you can develop a more sustainable world, environmentally and socially.
I believe everyday should be an adventure. From simply trying a new restaurant to skydiving in Australia, adventures come in all shapes and sizes. I love jumping into a challenge because I always learn more about myself in the process.
The next large challenge that I will face is beginning the process of finding a job. I'm extremely passionate about pursuing a public relations career in Australia, so if you have any advice about international PR, please send it my way.
