I have held a variety of creative positions in the publishing arena, including: magazine art director, production artist, production manager and photo editor.
Expertise includes layout, working with style sheets, ad creation, photo retouching/cleaning, scanning, knowledge of file formats, file troubleshooting, organizing and maintaining image library, proofreading and copy editing and copywriting. I have been recognized for organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as leadership in supervising the production process.
Additionally, I'm involved in independent documentary and narrative filmmaking. There's often a crossover between the worlds of publishing and film, and I've done design and layout work for several film organizations and independent films.
My husband and my documentary, "Waiting for NESARA," (2005), documents the true story of The Open Mind Forum, a messianic group of Salt Lake City ex-Mormons, and the radical faith that binds them together in the wake of 9/11. It has played at film festivals in Europe and the U.S.
I began as a Production Assistant on Harmony Korine's JULIEN DONKEY-BOY, then moved on to production management on independent projects in the NY/NJ area. I served as an assistant editor on the documentary WALLY by Robert Fink and conducted pre-interviews for a new documentary on lottery players (PICK SIX) by the makers of "Spellbound." In 2006, I was the Research Coordinator and Assistant Editor on the documentary ZOO, about the highly publicized Enumclaw, Washington bestiality case. The film recently went to both Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals as well as many others, received a theatrical release and worldwide distribution.
I designed and laid out the business plans for "Zoo" as well as the upcoming "Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle," starring Natasha Lyonne, by David Russo.
