Until recently I was the eCommerce director of UK based company Comtec, a leading technology supplier to the leisure travel sector. Holding a board position and responsible for developing and implementing Comtec’s e-commerce services. I am currently exploring several new opportunities in the eCommerce and travel technology arena.
I have worked in e-commerce and travel technology since 1995 and hold a proven track record of launching digital products and services, including Bargainholidays.com, Aloud.com, A2bTravel.com, Holiday.co.uk, Comtec’s ViewdataPlus, WebSell and http://www.travel.co.uk.
The WebSell product range is used by over 300 U.K. travel companies. Key customers have included Thomascook.com, Travelcare.co.uk, Expedia.co.uk, Opodo.co.uk, Lastminute.com, First Choice’s Holiday Hypermarket and The First Resort.
Previous positions include Product Development Manager at EMAP Online, Product Director and Managing Director at EMAP Digital Travel, E-commerce Director at Holiday Express and Product and Marketing Director at Comtec.

Having made a decision to emigrate to New Zealand, spent a year focusing on the eCommerce part of Comtec's business.
Launched the next generation of Comtec platform which combines dynamic packages with traditional packages in a single search. A new single shopping basket system to cater for all types of holidays, flights, hotels, car hire.
Key sponsor of the Thomas Cook's next generation website project which combines together Thomas Cook's traditional packages with the more flexible dynamic packages into a single search. Liased with board level within Thomas Cook and systems integrator Accenture.
Formalised Comtec's supplier distribution strategy and put in place the foundations for a new consumer distribution channel with Travel.co.uk.
Continued eCommerce product and marketing representation within Comtec and the travel trade.

Board and Shareholder position within Comtec.
Set up a new development and project management team structure and responsible for 40 plus staff and worked with the business to create a new Development Director role which was filled.
Established a new product marketing team and function. This included Product Managers and Marketers, new Comtec website, in house trade PR function and establishing a marketing budget.
Started a successful New Customer Sales team and function focusing on generating new revenue from tour operator and eCommerce sales.
Launched Comtec's WebSell eCommerce product range, EasySell Web (B2B), Viewdata Plus, Comtec Transaction Centre (CTC) version 2
Key team member of the acquisition and integration of Travelink Systems Ltd - tour operator software business.
Launched Comtec's Travelink product into Lyon, France for a First Choice company Tourinter and recruited a French based manager.
