Ed Silver is an accomplished senior executive who is especially adept at understanding the specialized intricacies of complex hospitality technology systems.
Ed was most recently President of The Silver Group, Inc., a successful technology strategy & advisory firm, leading him to be part of the formation of Hudson Crossing. Formerly, Ed was co-founder, Vice President of Technology and Operations, and Chief Operating Officer of Lodging.com, one of several entrepreneurial online businesses, including Travelbase.com, Seniorcare.com, AVweb.com and Kidscamps.com. While at Lodging.com, he also served as the primary technologist and designer of the site’s online booking systems, managed the Lodging.com product development team, operations, and technology infrastructure.
Following the completion of the sale of Lodging.com to Cendant, Ed was recruited to remain as the Vice President of Technology and Operations for Cendant’s Hospitality and Leisure Division. In this role, Ed handled software and product development, financial operations, technology operations and call center operations management for the hospitality-related brands of Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS) including, NEAT Group Dynamic Packaging, Lodging.com and the Cheaptickets.com hotel division. During his tenure, Ed was responsible for allocating over $140 million in total capital across the various TDS brands and divisions.
Ed’s areas of expertise include online booking systems, merchant technologies and yield and settlement systems.
Ed has a B.A. in religion and philosophy from Syracuse University.
