I specialize in the identification of opportunities and the launch of new ventures and projects. I spot trends early and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
While my career spans both for profit and non-profit organizations in variety of industries, I am passionate about 4th Sector organizations, businesses driven by a social purpose that are economically self-sustaining and socially, ethically, and environmentally responsible.
*I am the Principal in a consultancy focused on information that positively impacts social services and healthcare delivery. My client list includes large hospital systems, non-profit organizations, health clinics, and other consulting firms.
*I am also a Senior Account Manager for Convio, helping some of the best known non-profit organizations in the world utilize our software and strategy to enhance constituent relations, generate revenue, and spark advocacy that improves people's lives.
*In 2006, I developed the project plan for an affordable health insurance program serving Central Texas with good benefits, proactive treatment (taking care of people before they end up in the emergency room) and a technology platform that improves health and business efficiencies. I was the Product Manager for this effort which successfully launched in 2008.
*I have worked on Electronic Medical Records and Health Information Infrastructures with Louisiana Public Health Institute. In 2005, I designed the network strategy, sourced vendors and managed a team that rolled out the systems in 15 clinics and hospitals in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
*I have Business Development experience with NTT/Verio and NeoSoft, primarily in corporate internet access, data center collocation and hosted applications.
*I have made a couple of documentary films. One was about a day in the life of an up and coming glass blower and the other was about a unique neighborhood in New Orleans. I would like to do more.
