I provide hotel owners and investors with professional hotel management services including consulting, pre-opening, redevelopment and renovation services. Ed has over 35 years experience in the Hotel industry and is responsible for the oversight of asset management activities of all of JBG’s hotel related activities.
The JBG Companies have been an active investor, owner and developer in the Washington metropolitan area’s real estate market — one of the most dynamic markets in the world. Each property in JBG’s broad hospitality portfolio reflects a premium value achieved through its presence in a mixed-use development. JBG is also highly committed to its reputation for superior guest service and standard-setting hospitality. Over the years JBG have developed, acquired and still operates hotel brands other than Starwood brands resulting in a well-balanced hotel portfolio in the Washington D C upper upscale market. Starwood properties included in the company’s hotel portfolio are the Westin Arlington Gateway, the Sheraton Reston, the 12 & K Street Four Points by Sheraton, and the Westin Reston Heights.
Ed serves on the Board of Directors for Starwoods Owner Advisory Group for the Four Points by Sheraton Brand as well as several other local non-profit organizations.
Before joining JBG, Ed worked at Interstate Hotels and Resorts. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
He is married to Margaret Kopp with two daughters and resides in Ashburn, Virginia.
