Edward P. Kinsey is a co-founder and formerly the Executive Vice President of Ariba, Inc., an enterprise internet software company. He is an entrepreneur and start-up capital investor in Silicon Valley through his venture capital fund, Determination Ventures LLC. He is also the Chairperson of the Kinsey Family Foundation, a non-profit foundation focused on providing assistance to young men and women whose lives have been affected by unfortunate circumstances. He has served on the boards of numerous corporate, educational and non-profit organizations including Comergent Technologies, Inc., Firm58, Inc., DiCarta, Inc., Embark, Inc., BUILD, Inc., The University of Toledo, the Central Cities Ministries of Toledo and the San Carlos, California Little League.
Previously, Mr. Kinsey has served Silicon Valley companies as the Vice President and CFO of CenterView Software, Inc., as the VP of Operations and CFO of Zenger-Miller, Inc., and as the Corporate Controller of Rasna, Inc. He began his business career with international firms PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP and KPMG where he served in the manufacturing, financial services, non profit and high technology sectors for seven years.
Mr. Kinsey earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Toledo College of Business Administration in 1979 and holds CPA certificates in Ohio and California. In 2002 Mr. Kinsey was inducted into The University of Toledo, College of Business Administration Hall of Fame. He was also inducted into the Hungarian American Hall of Fame that same year. He is the 2004 recipient of The University of Toledo, College of Business Administration prestigious “Pacemaker of the Year” award, which is awarded to one person annually to recognize outstanding achievement in business.
In May 2009, Edward P. Kinsey was conferred a Doctor of Public Service, Honoris Causa, degree from Lourdes College.
