With nearly 20 years of Professional IT experience, I am well seasoned in the discipline of Application Development. During my 12 year tenure with The Home Depot, I have built strong interpersonal relationships with valued internal customers. My strong service orientation and bias for action has served well in responding to the needs and concerns of our customers.
Application Development, Project Manager in a wide variety of business applications. Particularly strong in client/server and relational database design using Informix/Oracle/Sybase/mSQL. Strong knowledge of Java J2SE/J2EE, HTML/XML, Perl, PHP, AJAX, Web Page Design, Web Services. I have developed Home Automation/Security Software (www.edtreehouse.com) currently in beta and being tested by numerous Home Automation enthusiasts.

My current responsibilities range from Project Management to Systems Architecting & Leading Full Life Cycle Development. Most recently, architected the design of a Centralized Web Service used to generate customer invoices (a.k.a. Customer Agreement). Using an Open Source PDF Generator (iText 1.3), the Websphere 6.0 Web Service accepts XML requests from all Home Depot U.S. stores. It appends State Specific Legal Compliance Documents (stored in Documentum) to the customer agreement. The Legal Compliance Document contains an embedded electronic signature obtained from POS signature capture pads. Also architected the design of Java Server Pages which the Legal Department uses to maintain the Compliance Documents. This project required 6 developers and 1 Project Manager that reported directly to me.

Design & development of Java Servlet(s) which accept Customer/Order related data from Broadvision (Web Page) interfaced to the Informix Database via XML. Architected Customer Identification Systems/Tiered Pricing (via Point of Sale & Special Services) utilizing customer assigned (bar-coded) KeyTags. I assisted with Centralizing Customer Data across all THD stores, utilizing RPC for real-time data retrieval from Informix, Java & COBOL. Travel as required (Quebec, Canada; New York; Dallas; San Francisco). I have overseen a team of 7 developers, assigning support related programming tasks.

Maintaining Informix 4gl on the IBM AIX RS6000 platform. Lead Programmer in a number of Customer Service related development projects. Returned to Alert/ADT as a Consultant (Berger & Co.) during the winter of 1996 where I assisted in converting Alerts’ Informix DBMS to Sybase, ADT’s RDBMS of choice.
