Ed Lawrence is a Talent Acquisition Strategist and HR generalist leader with 20+ years experience in recruiting and corporate human resources in the manufacturing, technology, consumer packaged goods and healthcare sectors. He founded LCR in 1985 and has successfully completed over 30 on site engagements at some of America’s most successful corporations. He is knowledgeable and current in all of the HR disciplines, and has used that knowledge to successfully deliver staffing services from the shop floor to the boardroom.
Prior to founding LCR, Ed held corporate positions as a Group Director of Human Resources, Senior Director of Human Resources, Regional Human Resources Manager, Branch Human Resources Manager, Regional Recruiting Manager, Senior Technical Recruiter, Employee Relations Specialist, and Compensation Analyst.
He is an expert in corporate employment strategy and process and routinely provides coaching and counsel to C-level corporate leaders while maintaining a full and active recruiting practice. He is AIRS certified and strives to maintain a healthy balance between being strategic and tactical -- a player-coach who can plan and execute.
He has a history of good, cost-conscious, project management having scoped, led, and successfully delivered several process improvement projects at such leading companies as Abbott Labs, Pactiv, US Cellular, Zebra Technologies, and Digital Equipment Corporation (now HP). He is an expert in crafting and maintaining 3rd party vendor/supplier management programs; evaluating, deploying and using applicant tracking and management reporting systems; and developing cost-effective staffing strategies.
Ed is a generalist recruiter but because of his deep analytical skills most of his successes have been in recruiting IT, engineering, and related technical talent. He has some notable successes in filling difficult positions with restricted or obscure candidate pools.
