Ed Breaux's Summary

Ed is leveraging 25 years of technology experience with 11 years of educational experience, 4 in a cyber school. Much of what he is now doing is through the America 2029 Consortium.

At the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, Ed is conducting independent research on how to implement a school-to-workforce pipeline.

Ed has assumed a wide range of roles in the software development industry, including management, marketing, business planning, quality assurance, programming, and consulting. Over the course of more than 25 years he repeatedly identified business needs, then proposed and implemented solutions designed for flexible, long-term growth. Ed has managed projects, systems, employees, products, and product lines in a variety of applications and systems environments: business, finance, engineering, education, marketing, retail, web applications, scheduling, software languages and tools, 3D computer graphics, and artificial intelligence. Ed has worked on mission-critical software systems for Ford (multiple divisions), Mellon Bank, Texas Instruments, and DEC.

Ed has productized his 32 years of professional experience by creating the Millennial Corporation model for business, a model which is engineered for 21st century growth. The model is energizing North Shore Technologies, where the highly leveraged system allows everyone, from senior management down to part-timers, to tap each other’s productized knowledge. Contributing to the design of Millennial Corporations, North Shore’s Chairman and COO, Bob Martin, has captured his 20+ years experience in technology staffing, creating two Millennial Corporation models, the Millennial Sales Force model and the Millennial Technology model. Ed is currently working with a broad range of industries to spread this model, which has shown itself to be robust, flexible, and resilient.

The America 2029 Consortium seamlessly interfaces with Ed's work at PA Cyber and with the Millennial Corporation model.

For me, substitute teaching is more than keeping students busy when the teacher is out.

As a substitute teacher, I:
• Work with students to best answer all questions, using all available resources, and refer open questions in writing to the teacher.
• Motivate students to work, even with the teacher is not around. Example: I helped a student verbalize that he might want to be an engineer, then noted that he had the raw talent (visual thinking, worked with hands), but he needed the math skills. I tell all my students: You don’t have to love math, but you can’t hate it. You need it.
• Provide guidance to students with concerns.
• Do whatever it takes to engage the students in meaningful academic activity.
