I've spent the past 7 years designing and marketing high-end hotrod computers (the polar opposite of the typical bland Dell tower) for gaming and other high-performance applications. In a commodity industry where the only differentiators are branding, excitement, service, and experience, I've been consistently successful growing revenue and profit, creating buzz on the social web and in the media, and dreaming up new ways to engage customers by smashing the conventional industry mold.

SolidWavePC was a start-up consumer PC company which aimed to bring high-efficiency manufacturing to the boutique space. I wrote the business plan and secured and managed all key partners, including financial. I built a team who I am proud to have led through a 6 month whirlwind of development to build the complete infrastructure to manufacture, market, sell, and support a full line of 6 desktop and 5 laptop products -- all while understaffed and under immense time pressure.

Puget Systems is a high-end, boutique system integrator, where I managed vendor relations, purchasing, and the company's product line. I was extremely successful in those roles and had a massive impact on the company's bottom line. I wrote the company's first 'mission statement', with much input into strategy at the high level, drove the development of the company's first branded product lines, and was instrumental in vaulting the company into the media and industry spotlight through PR and co-marketing with vendor partners.

My time spent in the Channel was extremely educational, affording me great insight into distribution and the inside sales strategies of major tech companies. Lots of wheelin and dealin, pounding the pavement, and traveling to industry events.

Tantus was a high-end system integrator focused on the burgeoning digital video revolution of that time -- a very exciting and cutting edge niche where hardware was driving the market. Being at the forefront of integrating technology that was typically very large and cumbersome into small form factor and portable designs won lots of incredible design wins for major accounts including: Naval Research Lab, MN House of Representatives, Microsoft, and many higher education institutions.
