Eamonn Carey’s Summary
Since 2000, I have worked in a variety of roles in the media - ranging from producing and presenting my own weekly sports show on national radio in Ireland to helping bands launch albums and tours. I have experience across print, radio, TV and the web.
For the last few years, I have been running a digital media production company in Ireland. Random Thoughts specialises in producing content for traditional media outlets as well as bespoke online and mobile content. I have also consulted with a variety of companies and individuals, advising them on mobile and online strategies including mobile and online video content, iPhone and Android Apps, blogging, social networking and a variety of other topics.
My company produces Mobile TV series for some of the biggest telecoms operators in the world. We have produced and consulted on content that will run across Mobile, Broadband and IPTV platforms, utilising UGC in a new, innovative and quintessentially interactive manner. Clients have included 3, O2, Guinness, Jolt Online Gaming, Failte Ireland and many others.
I am currently working on an innovative and disruptive mobile learning platform. Details of mobiEd will be released before too long. I'm also consulting on a new mobile travel venture, specialising in content from non-traditional markets for Android handsets.

Creating digital media content for mobile phones and the internet. Producer of 'Dunphy's Last Word on Football' - Ireland's first exclusively made-for-mobile tv show. Produced 'The Snug' for O2 mobile and online customers for the duration of the 6 Nations Rugby tournament. Random Thoughts also produced content for eircom, RTE, Leinster Rugby and many others. In 2006, we were nominated for a Content 360 Award at the MIPTV festival in Cannes. We were awarded 5000 euro for our 'Streetskills' proposal.
Experience in content development and production, encoding, mobile radio, satellite radio, podcasting, videocasting, mobile marketing, viral marketing, public relations, advertising and a variety of other fields. Excellent contacts in the corporate and sporting world in Europe and abroad.

As a producer in RTE, I was responsible for creating a wide variety of content across a number of platforms - covering everything from current affairs to music and sport.
At present, I present a weekly music show on RTE 2XM - one of RTE's suite of DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) radio stations.
