Trained in Missiology-the science of missions, focusing on the Christian Church and her global mission. Multiple experience in other cultures including twelve wonderful years in Brazil-last two teaching in a post-graduate program training Brasilian mission candidates in cross-cultural ministries.
As a prophetic advocate, I am responsible to keep one hand on the pulse of the world, trying to discern where we are in God's redemptive history, while at the same time keeping up on what seems to be going on in the churches. You might say I am seeking to have a small part in the missional ecumenism of the universal church in its Third millenium.
Specialties multi-cultural communications, global trend recognition, value/resource assessment and strategy of mission agencies with emphasis on the local church; Biblical theology and its meaning for us today, and respectful dialogue with other Faith traditions, seminar and workshop facilitator for all faith traditions. Particpating 2008-09 in the Catholic- Protestant dialogues on "The Year of Saint Paul".Available and seeking additional guest speaking venues in second semester 2009 and 2010.
