Danielle L. Scott’s Summary

I am the Managing Editor of the Graziadio Business Report and the GBR Blog, online publications of Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management. I work with authors to help them develop their ideas and answer the tough questions and I take charge of all technology, PR, and marketing initiatives.

I usually have a few freelance editing projects going on and I have worked on several upcoming business titles for Berrett-Koehler Publications, Inc. In 2007, I wrote a character for a collaborative children’s book featuring prominent local authors to raise funds for the Cyril Ross Nursery for HIV Positive Children in my native country, Trinidad.

Previously, I was Assistant Director of Public Relations and Communications at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, where I was responsible for all marketing, public relations, and communication efforts for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

At Alert Global Media, I was editor for Money Laundering Alert, a financial trade publication on anti-money laundering compliance. I also gave training lectures, and developed conference and seminar content.

I graduated from the University of Miami, with a BS in Communication majoring in Journalism and English Literature. In addition to my full-time job, I am pursuing an MBA at Pepperdine's Graziadio School and serve on the International Association of Business Communicators Los Angeles Board as Web Chair. I lived in Miami for seven years before moving to Los Angeles in 2007--best decision of my life!
