I am currently developing a new field of study - Middle Way Management™:
Middle Way Management is the practice of leading and managing people based upon time-tested ways of being; it is a consciously mindful, compassionate approach that is neither too controlling nor too lax.
Middle Way Management emphasizes accountability in an atmosphere of authentic connection.
Middle Way Management is patient and kind; it exercises genuine concern for people because they are the real constituents of the organization, not just those who benefit from its bottom line, though bottom line numbers ultimately become healthier and more vibrant when the people contributing to organizational success are led and managed with patience and compassion.
Middle Way Management is practiced in the now with a full, energetic commitment to doing what is necessary and right today to fulfill on the vision and promise of tomorrow.
Middle Way Management is a daily walk in the presence of chaotic energy tempered by conscious compassion and mindful intent.
I hold a PhD in Organization and Management with a specialization in Leadership, as well as BA and MA degrees in Anthropology. I work every day to create new theoretical knowledge and to develop practical applications of compassionate leadership principles for leaders and managers in organizations of all sizes and all kinds.

The present focus of eXcolo Research Group is on the creation of Second Life teaching assets for higher learning. Second Life assets are objects that can be traded on the open market within the Second Life economy. Examples of these are presentation boards, multiple-choices tests that email results to the instructor upon completion, and grade books, to name but a few.
We are delivering custom products and contributing to others in the open source environment. We strongly believe that these products should be easily and freely available to post-secondary educators and institutions. We are also actively involved in consulting with higher learning institutions to develop courses using Second Life as an innovative way to deliver course materials and classroom experience.
