I write code. I don't do Microsoft. Best overview is on my web site: http://www.clove.com.
I've been self employed since 1985 in three different businesses. Am currently between things and am looking for an interesting opportunity.
Implementation.
I can build it and make it work. I can also analyze it and figure out if it stands a good chance or not.
Got any good ideas - by that I mean: have you identified a customer base to support a business? If so, drop me a line.

February 1993 — Present (16 years 10 months)
Clove Tech is my S-Corp. It makes no sense in this world to be a real employee or to work w/o liability protection.

1984 — 1993 (9 years )
Lowell and I started Miller/Howard Investments using the proverbial $3,000 each and lots of hours. Lowell still runs it and I've wandered off into the world of software consulting.
The firm is doing well. You should contact them at http://mhinvest.com.
Tell them I sent you.

Taught beginning programming through masters level graduate courses in all aspects of Computer Science, which was funny because my degrees are in EE, emphasis in Systems, and I'd only taken a couple of CS courses. But then, the head of the Computer Center had a degree in Philosophy from Antioch, so . . .
(Public Company; 501-1000 employees; Medical Devices industry)
1980 — 1982 (2 years )
Technicon Corp was sold while I was there and, after a few more transactions, is now part of Bayer.
This was the first full time Programming job I had. It was an interesting change from the Defense work I previously did. I wrote my first device driver working here. Also learned Pascal
(Public Company; 10,001 or more employees; COL; Aviation & Aerospace industry)
1979 — 1980 (1 year )
This was Phase 2 GPS - when there were only 4 satellites in orbit and a personal GPS set weighed about 40 pounds. I was the Navigation analyst responsible for integrating the GPS system into the on-board navigation systems for six military vehicles.
Part of the reason I left after a year was marital. Iowa wasn't completely too bad, but it sure wasn't New York.

1973 — 1979 (6 years )
Sperry was swallowed up by Burrows when they bought Sperry Univac.
I became an inertial navigation analyst. Sperry was the prime contractor for the Navigation Subsystem for the missile subs. While there I wrote many thousand lines of FORTRAN to analyze and simulate the errors in the navigation system. Boy am I glad I don't have to write FORTRAN any more!
BE, ME, PhD , EE - emphasis in Systems , 1964 — 1972
Photography, Art, all aspects of software development, Tai Chi Chuan (been practicing over 30 years, so I'm opinionated about it), and the basic question: what is reality?
Used to belong to IEEE and ACM, but don't any more, Refresh Phoenix & Phoenix Ruby Group
I should have medals for raising kids.
