Dr. Seifert is a psychotherapist with over 30 years experience in mental health, addictions, and criminal justice work. She created Eastern Shore Psychological Services a multi-disciplinary mental health agency. Dr. Seifert has authored the CARE2 and numerous articles on violence. She speaks nationally on health related topics and youth violence. Her latest book is “How Children Become Violent.” Her lecture on “Disrupted Attachment Patterns” is available on DVD.

I am the founder and executive director of ESPS which has 103 employees and offices in three counties on Maryland's Eastern Shore, providing psychotherapy, consultation, evaluation, research, intensive case management, and a type III educational program. I also provide some direct psychological services to clients. ESPS has contracts with Federal Parole and Probation, Maryland Juvenile Services and Social Services, and the Chesapeake Youth Center to provide psychological and sex offender evaluations. I testify on these evaluations approximately one to two times per month. I also consult with Cheltenham Youth Center regarding programming for emotionally disturbed and conduct disordered youth, staff development, and provide staff training.
