I have been an advocate for youth and education for more than twenty years. I am the author of BRINGING THE LIGHT INTO A NEW DAY and AFRICAN CENTERED RITES OF PASSAGE AND EDUCATION.
My formal studies include: Geography, Education Administration, Learning Theory, Education Philosophy, African-American Studies, African-Centered Rites of Passage, HIV/AIDS Prevention Instruction, and Cultural Diversity. My professional experiences are complemented by my extensive travel throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, The Netherlands, Australia, The U.S. Virgin Islands, Panama, United Kingdom, and Africa in the countries of Senegal, Benin, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Ghana.
