My task was to extend an existing implementation of Amadeus proprietary software UP_SQL. Currently UP_SQL is a Open Backend software , used to facilitate the communication between the user , the OCI API and an Oracle database server, by abstracting the details to a simple common interface. My job was to extend UP_SQL To support mySQL communication. I was programming under C++ , using Templates and counting heavily on OO design, generic programming, Traits and Design patterns.
