Writer/editor with more than two decades of experience at newspapers, journals, magazines and university publications.
Donna is the Projects Coordinator with the San Antonio Business Journal. In that role, she plans, executes and edits 8 - 10 special publications, handles the Five Minutes page and writes feature stories and a column called Working Ideas. She manages the Business Journal's newsroom's social media accounts and the paper's intern program.
Donna sits on the board of the San Antonio Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications (AWC) and handles its Twitter account. She is a board member of Central Catholic High School and a co-founder of the Business, Media and PR Tweetup #BMPR (http://thebmpr.com) -- a monthly social media mashup with about 150 participants. In addition, Donna sits on the executive planning committee of TEDx San Antonio, which is working on bringing the first TED independent conference to the city.
Donna also is a member of the Beyond the Glass Ceiling executive committee, an event that celebrates National Women's History Month in San Antonio annually. She also is an active member of the San Antonio Social Media Club and a monthly breakfast group where local judges, lawyers, and other community leaders meet to learn and discuss local issues.
