Received a full scholarship as drummer and public relations personality of "The West Virginians." While on tour from 1997-1999 the group performed and spoke to crowds over 130,000 people throughout the Eastern United States, Thailand, and India.
"The West Virginians" are the premier touring ensemble of the music department, serving as ambassadors for Alderson-Broaddus College and for the state of West Virginia.
Each year members are selected based on: Vocal, Musical, Dancing, and Academic Abilities as well as Stage Presence and Character.
In their 28-year history this group has consistently been designated "Official Ambassadors for the state of West Virginia" by the Governor. In 1997 the group was designated "Official Ambassadors for the United States" during a world tour which included stops in England, Thailand, and India while on their way to The Quasquicentennial Celebration in Nagaland India.
