Dominic Barnes’s Summary
I currently work as a Support Technician at Atkins based in the Birmingham branch. I provide second line hardware and software support to offices in Birmingham and the surrounding area. I support desktops, laptops, PDA's, mobile phones, as well as a wide range of software used within the business.
Prior to that I worked as a Installation Engineer and my duties included the imaging of stock PCs, installation of specialist software as required, and deployment of PCs. I also provided support for new installations, as well as general support where required.
I am also a certified CompTIA A+ IT Technician and Network Technician.
Before working in IT, I worked in financial services for about 5 years. I have worked on both an admin and sales side of financial services and have had much experience dealing a variety of clients during this time.
In my spare time I play bass guitar in a band called Douglas Furs, and attend meetings of the Midland Mac User Group.
