I am passionate about leading high-performance teams to develop sophisticated technologies into elegant products, as evidenced by 16 years of hands-on and management experience in the design of medical devices, drug delivery systems and consumer electronics. I have a specific interest in the convergence of medical devices and consumer products, the growing market need for effective and well-designed patient-administered therapeutics.

My technical focus is on mechanical design, particularly high-volume injection molded products, but my skills extend broadly from this base. Through different stages in my career, I have lived the entire product development life cycle from concept through design, manufacturing, full-scale production, sustainment, service, and end-of-life, and have the sensitivity to each of these areas to enable me to approach product development in holistic way. This deep understanding of the tactical logistics and technical challenges of the product development process is seasoned with a strategic perspective and a rich appreciation for the needs of the market and the emotional appeal of any product.

I believe that the best way to elicit expectation-exceeding performance is to give good people the information, context, and authority to enable them to think creatively and independently.
