I am an artist and educator based in New York City. My photography work includes: portraits, musicians, sports, engagements, weddings, parties, landscapes, and street. My Art includes: Paintings, Murals, Tapestries, Drawings, Prints, and Sketches. Having been raised in Queens, NY, I know how life can be in a fast paced city. It was this that inspired my first experience in photography when I was a high school student. I focused on street photography, hoping to capture the everyday moments and things that are often overlooked in fast moving city lives. I continued to pursue photography at Long Island University. Realizing how effective art can be as a tool of empowerment, I made the decision to achieve a bachelor's degree in Art Education.
After college I had the opportunity to teach for a year. During that time, I designed lessons that not only taught about art, but helped students express their emotions and discipline through their work. As an artist and educator, I feel it is my responsibility to use my knowledge and skills in a manner that will allow any person, including my students, to form their own appreciation of art based on their needs, observations, and conclusions.
I continued my work in photography in 2006 by relocating to Hawai’i where I spent my time photographing Hawaiian landscapes and surfing competitions. It was there that I learned, even more so, how to appreciate everyday beauty and the simple things in life where you can find happiness.
Being back in New York City, I am continuing to work with people to capture their lives. With my art work, it is my hope that I am able to pass along to you some of the delight, beauty, color, design, and just plain fun that I experience whenever I put brush or pen to a new project. I hope you will enjoy looking through my work.
