Handled all facets of administrative and account responsibilities that included, but were not limited to the following: overseeing all aspects of client contact; handling heavy phone contact; quoting existing customers seeking to make changes to policies; processing endorsements and billing; reviewing and proofreading all new, renewed and endorsed polices.
(Non-Profit; 201-500 employees; Hospital & Health Care industry)
May 1991 — March 1999 (7 years 11 months)
The LSP provides nursing care to the elderly poor. I started out as a paid employee for several months and then entered their community as a missionary. During my time there I provided a variety of services: Direct care of the elderly; overseeing the dining room; and overseeing all aspects of maintaining units of 14-24 elderly persons. I supervised a staff of approximately 20 people and was responsible for all hiring/firing, scheduling, and evaluations. I was responsible for monitoring all funds for both the residents and the running of the unit.
At every home I was stationed, I put systems in place which aided in the smooth running of the units. I created spreadsheets and other documents for paperwork (such as schedules) which were originally done by hand. I also tutored several of the sisters on the use of different software programs such as Microsoft Office and Photoshop; as well as teaching them the basics of internet research and navigating Internet Explorer.
