After 10 years at IMRB International, she established Explore Research & Consultancy in 1998, with clients such as MTV, JWT, Unilever, ESPN, IFTF, JJVC, Greenberg, Midday, HP & Pitney Bowes Inc. She's involved in ethnographic studies including participant observation, studying the impact of technology in rural markets, & following trend setting youth in urban settings. Last year, she co-founded Mosoci (http://mosoci.com/ ) a research & strategy innovation global company which focusses on guiding strategy in a Web 2.0 world.

She has contributed to building several communities on the internet, such as Worldchanging, Tsunami Help, KatrinaHelp, SkypeJournal and Global Voices Online. Dina is particularly curious about social technologies that bring about new ways of communication and collaboration. Her explorations into the social media and social tools space led her to actively contribute to grassroots online disaster relief efforts since the tsunamis devastated parts of Asia in December 2004. Dina is on the Advisory Board of Global Voices Online & is a Sub-Board Member of the Information Program at Open Society Institute.
Presenter & Speaker: Social Tools in Research and Collaboration – Reboot 7 in Copenhagen in 2005, and at EPIC 2005 in Seattle. Part of the Global Voices Summits in 2005 & 2007. Paper on Mobile Spaces at Microsoft Research's Social Computing Summit in Seattle & spoke at BlogHer in San Jose in 2006, on a panel discussion about developing grassroots Communities around Social Tools. Facilitator of the Open Publishing stream at AsiaSource 2 in Indonesia in 2007, and was on a panel discussing Trust in Social Networks and what it means for our societies, at the Womens Forum at Deauville, France in October 2007.
