Marc Ferguson’s Summary
In a nutshell, I am an open source web developer. My strongest language is PHP. I have been very fortunate to have both design and development skills. Obviously my development skills are stronger, but what that means is I can create an interface that's user-friendly and a bit stylish. It may be a direct bite from GM, but I consider myself as a "professional grade" web developer. Focusing on exactly what the client WANTS and not mass producing templated sites that do not fit my client's NEEDS.
My general process is first, allocating some time to research my client's industry making sure I do not overlook common links or design elements on competitor web sites. Then I design a layout that incorporates what we talked about and elements taken from research. Afterwards; it's time to get down and dirty with the development process. In the end, the client will have a full and safe experience working with me - not a rushed job.
