Diego Parrilla (diego (at) diegoparrilla.com)’s Summary

I think that I can define myself as an 'Enterprise Architect' that has evolved from Technical to Management. Since 2000, my job has been focused 99% on Java Enterprise Edition world, but my background comes from the Microsoft world and Systems Development on UNIX platforms for several years. I have a Master Degree in Computer Science by the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
I have been working in the development and roll out of Enterprise Applications following the Software as a Service (SaaS) business model, with different business goals and technologies.
Last years I have been tracking how Agile methodologies are being adopted slowly but firmly in the Enterprise environment. I have tried to adopt some Agile best practices, making the methodologies to fit into the company. Some of these best practices helped us to manage remote development teams, track changes in the projects and give honest feedback to the customers faster than traditional methodologies.
