With 25 years experience in Mortgage Banking, I have seen the industry from all sides. My career began as a loan originator in Colorado in 1983 and progressed into branch, regional, divisional, and national management roles in the same company over 16 years. I then spent almost 7 years as the Senior Vice President and head of the single family business at Freddie Mac, and then ran the wholesale lending business nationally as Executive Vice President for Wells Fargo. In July of 2006, I accepted a position with Long & Foster that tapped my experience in finance in overseeing the company's affiliated businesses: mortgage, title, insurance, settlement services as well as our concierge business. I was promoted to in late 2008 to President and Chief Operating Officer of the Long & Foster Companies, including the core real estate company. In early 2009 I accepted the request of HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan to serve in the Obama administration as Assitant Secretary of Housing - FHA Commissioner, which is the position I hold today.
Leadership, Vision, Execution, Management, Recruiting, Capital Markets, Sales and Sales Management, Communication, Public Speaking, work ethic, and P&L profitability. Driven for success.
