Dennis Lerdahl's Experience
Business Development Manager
Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Construction industry
January 2014 – Present (9 months) Houston, Texas Area
We help our clients succeed in the time-to-market crunch that has become the AEC industry norm. Our deep expertise in the three domains that intersect in preconstruction is unmatched. We are experts in the AEC industry, software and technology, and organizational processes.
We are experts in these areas because to help our clients succeed, we recognize that any solution that comes in a box is not really a solution at all. To effectively deploy a preconstruction system that streamlines and standardizes processes, increases accuracy, manages risks, and speeds the time-to-market, it must address all the factors at play in an organization. Factors such as business objectives, selection of the 'right' technologies, integration strategies and, importantly, the corporate culture.
Our teams cover the specific areas outside of software in order to ensure the software actually works.
Director Client Strategies
Privately Held; 1-10 employees; Information Technology and Services industry
March 2013 – December 2013 (10 months) Houston, Texas Area
Intemation is a leading provider of BIM technology and lifecycle asset data commissioning for the AEC/O Industry. We believe the world is more than a pretty 3D picture. Our industry is run day-to-day, project-to-project and each individual project is complex, with numerous participants, proprietary processes, and project management issues that are burdened by immense amounts of information to control scope, schedule, and budget. The introduction of BIM has added an additional layer of confusion. Often, at the end of the project, turnover information (including the BIM) is provided to owners incomplete and in unfamiliar, non-consumable data formats. Now, more than ever, it is important for Owners to face the challenge of defining and implementing meaningful information and interoperability standards. Intemation has a complete lifecycle understanding of your asset information needs. Supported by our team of experienced AEC professionals, our Lifecycle BIM Solution is purpose-built to allow all stakeholders to realize maximum value from the immense volume of asset information generated during the capital facility lifecycle.
Vice President of Business Development
Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Computer Software industry
February 2012 – December 2012 (11 months) Houston, Texas Area
During my time at Assemble Systems I found love in introducing a new way of understanding the “I” in BIM. Knowing that the potential of adoption could expand beyond our current user base with the right implementation and understanding, I was proud to be a part.
I am looking forward to the next chapter in this journey. There is no question that Building Information Modeling and Lean Construction is here to stay, the question will be where you want to go with it.
Director of Key Accounts
Privately Held; 1-10 employees; Construction industry
April 2011 – February 2012 (11 months) Houston, Texas Area
As Director of Key Accounts for GTP, I provided education to the Construction Industry on how to bring BIM in the field.
At the time GTP offered the only solution for point creation in Revit. Along with that, the software offering gives the ability to create points on any CAD/BIM platform. This is combined with the ability to to coordinate that information in Navisworks. This tool is quickly becoming the industry standard because of it's flexibility to work with any and all trades.
Plus, we, over at GTP have made patented modifications to the Robotic Total Station. Allowing the Construction Industry professionals to more accurately layout out using the BIM. Giving the freedom of each trade to use construction staking at maximum efficiency, at the same time creating the confidence to the Construction Manager and Owner, that the project will be on schedule and built right!

CenTex BIM Peer GroupCo-Founder
- September 2011 to Present
Along with Luis Berumen from Bartlett Cocke General Contractors we established the first of its kind BIM Peer Group. The focus of the group was to introduce and continue to educate the industry to the BIM revolution. The group focuses most of its efforts on the process of BIM, while making aware of existing and emerging technologies. Since the original existence in late 2011 the group has expanded to multiple cities and has seen membership grow into the hundreds. There is no question it has a bright future with expansion and use of BIM. Attendance to the group is not mandatory and comes at no cost to participants, allowing it to agnostic from outside influence talking about real issues that face the cultural adoption.
