As Director of Key Accounts for GTP, I provided education to the Construction Industry on how to bring BIM in the field.

At the time GTP offered the only solution for point creation in Revit. Along with that, the software offering gives the ability to create points on any CAD/BIM platform. This is combined with the ability to to coordinate that information in Navisworks. This tool is quickly becoming the industry standard because of it's flexibility to work with any and all trades.

Plus, we, over at GTP have made patented modifications to the Robotic Total Station. Allowing the Construction Industry professionals to more accurately layout out using the BIM. Giving the freedom of each trade to use construction staking at maximum efficiency, at the same time creating the confidence to the Construction Manager and Owner, that the project will be on schedule and built right!

    • September 2011 to Present

    Along with Luis Berumen from Bartlett Cocke General Contractors we established the first of its kind BIM Peer Group. The focus of the group was to introduce and continue to educate the industry to the BIM revolution. The group focuses most of its efforts on the process of BIM, while making aware of existing and emerging technologies. Since the original existence in late 2011 the group has expanded to multiple cities and has seen membership grow into the hundreds. There is no question it has a bright future with expansion and use of BIM. Attendance to the group is not mandatory and comes at no cost to participants, allowing it to agnostic from outside influence talking about real issues that face the cultural adoption.
