      Meals on Wheels of Tampa is committed to its mission of “Nourishing and enriching the independent lives of the home-bound and seniors.” Meals on Wheels serves approximately 650 individuals five days a week with a hot, nutritious meal delivered to their door by a friendly, caring volunteer, and two frozen meals delivered for the weekend. The quality of the food, which is excellent, provides nourishment for their bodies. The encouraging words from our volunteers provide enrichment for their souls. For some of the home-bound, the visit from a volunteer is the only human contact they will have that day. Together we strengthen the community by caring and building relationships across neighborhoods.
