Web Specialist at The University of Texas at Dallas, plus owner of GushinDesigns.com
Dallas/Fort Worth Area
I am the owner of my web design business GushinDesigns and have worked on a number of smaller sites through this business and am currently looking to develop more freelance work in web design.
I recently have finished a 2 year stint with www.hitchfinder.com, an automotive parts online only company. I was part of a design team developing their 14 web sites in an e-commerce setting.
My skills: Strong CSS and HTML, graphics using Adobe CS3 Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks. Dreamweaver skilled, but prefer SKEdit (a simplier hand coding editor) and well versed in FTP, Wordpress, CSSEdit, moderate knowledge in Flash.
I am also very well trained in the operation, manipulation and marketplace of eBay, plus other related software such as Vendio, Turbo Lister and ChannelAdvisor.

I am the owner of GushinDesigns, a Web Design company in the Dallas, TX area.
I specialize in creating fast-loading web sites that don't overuse flash or animations and are tailored to meet the needs of my individual customer.
I tend to attract the smaller businesses where I can spend time getting to know the business and figure out what solution the client really wants.

March 2006 — June 2008 (2 years 4 months)
I was a staff Web Designer for hitchfinder.com working on most of the 15+ e-commerce sites in many different roles along with a team. My specialty was design tying in all the back end data based code into a tight HTML and CSS framework.
I also had heavy involvement in our eBay store listing with Turbo Lister and setting up all the options for ChannelAdvisor Merchant software. In addition I created a listing template for use in the eBay auction listings for the company.

1994 — 2000 (6 years )
In my almost 6 years at Ritz Camera I increased my sales each year.
In 1999 I was awarded for being in the top 10 salespeople in the entire company (of over 15,000 sales people) nationwide. There was some formula that calculated top sales nationwide based on store volume and area volume so the people in areas with lower dollar sales could participate evenly with those near company headquarters where the sales volumes were very high.
I learned a lot dealing with the public on a daily basis and was able to formulate my ideas on "superior customer service" from this experience.
