Director of Community Relations at Friends for Friends Home Care
Hartford, Connecticut Area
I have broad experience in writing about subjects related to aging - retirement, dementia, long-term care, nursing facilities, assisted living, home care and caregiving. My professional experience also extends to care management, support group leadership and marketing to boomers and adults over the age of 65.
I feel strongly that pet therapy is one of the most beneficial ways in which to reach someone with dementia, or to motivate an individual, young, middle-aged or older, to walk, talk or otherwise communicate. My goal is to work closely with animals in a long-term care setting.
My long-time goal is to write a book. I'd welcome opportunities for collaboration.
What began as a vocation has become an avocation. I enjoy playing violin for weddings, either solo or with other stringed instrumentalists.
Dementia and caregiver education, writing/editing, music for weddings and other occasions.
