Someone once called me a cultural entrepreneur, and I hated to admit it at the time, but they were right. In short, over the past 20 years I have produced a stack of original and occasionally groundbreaking online and traditional media - videos, music, blogs, art, comedy, documentaries, commentaries, magazine articles, fiction, events, broadcasts, interviews, podcasts and seminars, and still found time to exercise, meditate and cook.
Business-wise, I've devised successful strategies for myself, for companies I've started, individuals and corporations I've worked for and communities I have belonged to. I've also been involved educationally in the creative use of online media and online rights, and I'm interested to take this further.
I first released a record in 1987, I first put audio and video online in 1994, and I began blogging and podcasting 2004. In 2006 I started Small Pictures Ltd.
In 2007 I judged the podcast category of the AOP Awards, and in 2008 I judged the podcast category of the Sony Radio Awards.
Under a pseudonym, I wrote the popular Blog of Funk (4.5m hits, 250,000 repeat visitors in 2007). I write articles for print magazines, e.g. the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association http://is.gd/RK7
I wrote a chapter on podcasting for Professor Vito Di Bari's excellent book "Web 2.0" (Professionisti24, 2007 ISBN 13: 978-88-8363-880-0)
In terms of impact on the wider world, I've made broadcast / print news doing these things: creating ecological art on London's south bank (1983), BBC Radio's first internet simulcast, and being in Res Rocket Surfer, the world's first internet band (1995), streaming audio from the Notting Hill Carnival (1996), writing and performing music for myself and others (1987 - 2007), co-founding and heading up the UK Podcasters Association (2006-present).

I initiated and took part in many "interruptive" performance art events in public places; I wallpapered trees in a piece entitled "Camouflaging Trees from Further Attack", I dressed people as postage parcels and invaded Kings Cross station, and I distributed "free money" (pro-ecology propaganda) at many performances and festivals.
