My professional experience can be summed up in these three things I've learned in the past two-and-a-half decades of providing technical products to a wide-variety of clients:
1. There are no small fixes - You never know what little change can foul-up an entire enterprise.
2. Eat your own dog food - Discipline yourself to solve daily problems using the product you provide.
3. Get intimate with your client - Do whatever it take to see your product through your client's workflow, problems & pain.
Oh yeah, my goals? To create and serve outrageously happy clients while enjoying and collaborating with intelligent and interesting people.

Don't let Dean's hack LinkedIn arbitrary time period fool you, Dean has and continues to write about all things geeky for quite some time.
As an ongoing hobby and after with Vincent Flanders on his second book "Son of Web Pages That Suck: Learn Good Design by Looking at Bad Design" - I decided to vent my frustrations at the 'great cloud of witlessness' that was the state of church websites online.
So from time to time, I nail my own brand of a slightly geekier 95 Theses to the door of the Internet at http://HealYourChurchWebsite.com.
Along with that, I've twice been the guest of the Jordanian Tourism Board to visit and write my about my experiences at http://blogJordan.com
