As a global digital evangelist, I am currently responsible for positioning Eyeblaster at the forefront of emerging media and the next generation of consumer engagement. I am a passionate public speaker and have delivered presentations at more than 75 industry events across more than 30 countries around the world. With many published articles, I frequently serve as an industry source for leading business and trade publications, being best known for utilising the true potential of advertising technology.
I originally trained as a traditional graphic designer in Australia in the late ‘80s. Worked in a variety of design roles across the UK and by the mid 90’s moved into the New Media arena. Set up and ran a creative agency and alongside a series of multi-media projects, began working closely with local government shaping e-communications. Ran the creative division of a leading ISP, focusing on online marketing and information architecture for leading brand sites, as well as internal communication strategies. Following the dot.com crash decided to move into a more client focused and strategic role within digital marketing, and more specifically advertising technology with an edge on video. This has paved the way to focus on emerging media and cross-channel measurement and working with some great minds in the industry. Together we’ve been short listed for various awards.
Am currently pursuing a Masters in Creative Media Practice with Bournemouth University, looking at the future of digital advertising to ensure commercialisation of content across a fragmented range of viewing devices through location-based advertising.
For me, it’s all about how digital has shifted consumer behavior and focussing on how digital is creeping across the entire media landscape. Yet whether co-developing digital advertising strategies that delivers tangible ROI or living out of a suitcase evangelising the future of media, you’ve got to keep your feet on the ground. As such, am an active vocalist on moral obligations and privacy concerns in light of tracking via technology - that is when I am not off scuba diving somewhere...
