Dean has built global consumer and business services companies in technology, software, digital and social media, advertising, entertainment, technology and Internet industries and has led organizations through diverse expansion, turnaround, M&A and IPO growth phases.
He has been the CEO of private and public companies, and Fortune 500 subsidiaries, including CEO of TNS Media, which was acquired by WPP; CEO of Autoweb, which he took public and merged with Autobytel; and CEO of The Imagination Network, a social media games company which was acquired by AOL.
As Chairman of Reboot Partners, an advisory group dedicated to helping organizations grow through innovative thinking, marketplace expansion and strategic execution, Dean has served in director and interim operating roles, including CEO of Fathom Online, which was acquired by GI; CEO of Free Drive, which was acquired into AOL; and CEO of CatchTV, which became part of Liberty Media.
At LG/Zenith, Dean served as CMO, and head of the Network Systems division; at Anixter International he was President of two operating groups; and at FedEx he operated two business units as a Managing Director.
He has served on public, private and government boards including Donlan , Excelligence, Chicagoland Entreprenurial Center, Security Innovation Network and is a member of National Association of Corporate Directors, Turnaround Management Association and TechNet.
A frequent speaker, media guest, industry spokesperson and advisor, Dean has shared his insights through numerous media and public speaking outlets, co-authoring the best-selling book The Big Moo and co-founding thinkremarkable.com.
