Led rejuvenation of strategy and function of sports & entertainment marketing department as well as created a connection to the customer experience and bottom line through partnership and promotional initiatives. This was accomplished by collaborating across multiple internal divisions, working with a variety of external partners/agencies and constantly educating and providing updates to American’s executive team. Building positive brand/sponsorship awareness and maintaining/establishing strong community ties were additional accomplishments achieved while in this role. Effort put forth to influence internal company policies/structure to create optimal collaboration around integrated marketing/advertising campaigns in entertainment resulted in millions of dollars worth of visibility each year.

Directed creation and implementation of global entertainment strategy as well as relationship management, contract negotiations, and oversight of agencies and entertainment partnerships, including American Airlines Center (Dallas Stars/Dallas Mavericks), American Airlines Arena (Miami Heat), and NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB/MLS leagues/teams as well as American's brand/product integration in TV/film/music. Negotiated and created fully integrated product placement and 360-integrated marketing campaigns, most notably around the movies "Up In The Air" and Disney's "Planes." Led team through Chapter 11 restructuring/merger planning and directed launch event for reveal of American's first visual identity refresh in 45 years (Jan. 2013).
