Development and project management of automated catalog publishing system. Along with the databases, Arbortext Epic and E3 software is used to generate the catalogs and technical literature in PDF, postscript, XML, and HTML formats. Combining the new software system with project management techniques and change control methodologies has reduced the catalog production cycle from six months to two months. Second phase of projected included Canadian user group and Australian supplier. Canadian English and French Canadian capabilities were added to the publishing system using Absolute Data Group’s Accuro 2.0 software (later upgraded to version 2.3) as an interface. This system allows Canadian publications (in both languages) to be released within two weeks of the completion of the equivalent US publications.
