Responsible for new biz dev for MWS's eBook product, which offers an innovative way to deliver content to readers while producing 100s of leads for sponsors.
An MWS eBook is a package of editorial content--text and other media--presented in a Flash-based reader. Inside, the eBook incl. Audience Mgmt w/registration & data collection; StatReport for tracking & reporting; eProofer for collaboration; and hosting on eBookHost.com.
Typically, a Publisher sells an eBook sponsorship on a topic of interest to readers. The Publisher pulls articles from the archive or commissions new ones, and delivers files to MWS. In about 2 weeks, MWS produces an eBook, which the Publisher then markets via Web, email, and print. Other than the marketing, the eBook is turn-key, w/low overhead and zero involvement from your IT or Web dept.
MWS has produced 500+ eBooks for its clientele of print/online publishers. Over the past yr the eBooks have avg'd 1,038 registrants w/55% opt-in. A tremendous value.

My wife and I own a vacation rental home near the Berkshires. Situated on 147 wooded acres, this furnished modern home is secluded, but minutes from town of Hillsdale. With 3BR/2.5BA, the home accommodates six guests (plus two more on the sofa bed). 6 miles skiing at Catamount, 14 miles to Gt. Barrington, 20 miles to Hudson, and 21 miles to Tanglewood: it's country living with quick access to skiing and all the recreational and cultural activities of Columbia County and the Berkshires. Managed group of up to 46 staff, with P&L responsibility for 11 profit centers and properties that included Intelligent Enterprise (IE) and the Intelligent Communities Online, DB2 Magazine, CADence, Transform Magazine, and the Business Performance Management Conference. Also served as publisher, and editor-in-chief of DBMS Magazine before that. Launched IE in 1998, Transform in 2001 and the Business Performance Management Conference in 2003, in cooperation with Ventana Research.
