Product Management and Business Development Expertise

Essentially, David helps companies create great teams and bring great new products to market.
This skill set includes managing the PnL, deep analysis of the marketplace and the development of a product roadmap that reflects the depth of that analysis. The roadmap is orchestrated according to inputs from multiple sources thus setting feature and product development priority. The development of the candidate features for the roadmap includes producing case studies, focus group analysis, persona development, use cases, usability studies, design comps, wireframes, MRDs, PRDs, Functional Reqs, Functional Specs, Technical Reqs, Technical Specs as wells as driving quality and quality process systems.
Where the product management team is intact David has an uncanny knack as a Business Development expert for taking new products into the marketplace closing the first deals, partnerships, customers, and agreements that allow the new product or emergent company to garner their next round of financing or their next level of customer base. Whatever the benchmark, David gets the meeting, closes the deal, and finds the revenue for the business.

Additionally, I worked deeply with the CMO on strategy, sales, partnerships, direction, messaging, and design. I managed 3 applications that composed the product suite: 1. video, audio, picture sharing application. 2. unified communications platform based on a digital personal assistant who reads you your email, calls you with reminders, takes dictation and sends email via the phone. 3. social network based on contacts that integrated the experience of 1-2. My responsibilities included defining the product road map and assigning candidate work to specific iterations. I built the functional and technical specifications inside of Media Wiki which I linked into an instance of our issue tracking system to clearly cohere the features to the vision. This deep coupling of tasks to definition to vision made prioritizing efforts a transparent process. I used a stewardship committee to both manage input into the process from stakeholders and to communicate outwards the status of our efforts to the board.
