August 2003 — Present (5 years 2 months)
Working for a Microsoft Gold Partner I (DAC, TAP member) acquired a deep knowledge of SharePoint and Project Server which I used to create Pcubed's product, "Program Server". Program Server aggregates data from multiple Project Server instances and SharePoint workspaces into a single data warehouse for trend reporting and data analysis in SharePoint, SSRS or Excel.
The product has had 2 major builds. For the 1st build I joined after a working implementation had been produced. I raised the quality of this significantly, and then implemented rapid development methodologies such as SCRUM to enable us to add features to increase the value of Program Server.
For the 2nd build I architected the product and managed the team of developers and contractors so that the new version was produced in record time and with a dramatically increased featureset and improved memory footprint, and performance.
This role included Technical Consultant work for many clients across all verticals.

May 2001 — August 2003 (2 years 4 months)
Using a variety of technologies (TCL/TK, Vignette, Java, Visual Basic, ASP, C++, AJAX, Sql Server, Oracle) I worked with the streaming content team and the business to create and implement an end-to-end solution for capturing live audio and visuals for sporting events and associated Xml meta-data. This was then surfaced through a premium content website associated to the sporting entity (such as a football club website).
The website was a predecessor to YouTube, and allowed the users to construct their own sports reels from clips of other videos, i.e. "Top 10 goals". These custom reels could then be shared with other users to encourage viral uptake of the premium content.
This role involved considerable team work skills to bridge the various business entities and technical teams. I also worked with extreme programming and agile methodologies, and project managed the software development life cycle with these practices in mind.
