Hello, and welcome to my online professional profile.
I'm currently pursuing an M.A. in History of Christianity at Claremont Graduate University. So far, the experience has been enlightening, challenging, and rewarding. I intend to continue on to a Ph.D. and work as a scholar of mission history, particularly the development of Mormon missiology. I entered graduate school with a degree in European Studies from BYU and a minor in business management. If you are interested in some writing samples (some early undergraduate work, but other contemporary examples), please visit http://www.davidgolding.net/papers .
That being said, the past twelve years have been quite a journey through professional positions in technology, especially web development and design. I have a love for building online communications media and believe that the world will increasingly converge technologically around the internet; no matter the field, therefore, skills in web technology will prove extremely useful. My skills include expert knowledge in HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and CakePHP. I'm able to apply these skills to database management and online networking which create powerful solutions for myriad projects from historical research collection to full-blown e-commerce web sites. I have also studied and worked in graphic design and desktop publishing. My work in this arena is available on my website davidgoldingdesign.com.
I am excited for opportunities to consult with you on web projects and technology, even though my career will focus more academically on social sciences in the coming years. And I certainly enjoy engaging in academic work, especially in the disciplines of religion, history, and missiology.
Writing, historical and marketing research, copywriting, advertising design, graphic design, web development (XHTML, CSS 2.0, PHP 5.0, MySQL, CakePHP, Ruby on Rails), and technology consulting.

PianoPublicDomain.com is one of the leading suppliers of classical piano sheet music on the internet with over 10,000 pages of music in PDF-formatted files. Users are able to subscribe or purchase downloading credits to gain access to the entire library. Free files are available for any user. The site was hand-coded by myself, and utilizes complex payment gateway, membership, file archiving, file protection, CAPTCHA security, and other applications. Begun in 1999, it continues to thrive on the internet and has already expanded to bring in thousands of dollars in residual income every year with no starting capital whatsoever. Currently it is my most successful venture, started on a free hosting service back in 1999.
