Trained new Account Executive to target the right prospects, present the magazine effectively and close sales. Added over 20 new advertisers in 2 months with 2 sales reps.

Responsible for bringing new advertisers into Texas Gold, a monthly coupon magazine mailed to 265,000 homes published by the Austin American-Statesman newspaper. Built sales to exceed $30,000 per issue, starting without a base of existing house accounts. Averaged over 7 new clients per issue. Created new format and strategy to sell front covers that resulted in covers selling out within 5 days of introduction, adding over $60,000 in annual revenue. Provided sales training for an Account Executive with declining sales, resulting in her monthly sales doubling in two months from $12,000 to $24,000.

Responsible for all aspects of running publishing business as a licensee of the Student Discount Handbook including sales, bookkeeping and purchasing production and printing services. Licensed existing UT Austin market and increased annual sales by 11% in first year. Expanded into the Texas A&M market with sales of $26,000 in first issue and increased sales to over $37,000 in last issue prior to buy out.

Created a specialty publication targeted to UT Students, generating in excess of $120,000 per year in incremental advertising revenue.
