Civitology is a city wiki network which currently covers major cities and provinces in China. It presently has three city wikis; one each for Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai. Its roots lie in the original Beijingology project, which was then expanded to allow for the making of other city wikis.
Beijingology is a website which focuses on the unexplored parts of the city, in addition to focusing on the "known Beijing" (ie Tian'anmen, Great Wall, etc). The site focuses on the city itself and views the capital of China from a mix of local and expat viewpoints.
Civitology now has two major projects. The A to B series of sites for Beijing and Shanghai help readers keep track of mass transit developments in these cities. A new iMetro.mobi provides mass transit info for mobile devices in a mobile-friendly manner.
