I have a strong experience in social research focused on digital media using quantitative (survey) qualitative (ethnographic research, focus group) techniques and social media monitoring and tracking tool.
I've been working on: mobile phones diffusion and social relationship, emergent technological subcultures, social uses of file sharing and digital content consuption, social networking technologies.
Actually I'm professor in Cultural Studies/Sociology of Culture and Internet Studies at the University of Catania, and I was professor in Digital Media Studies in various Italian university: University of Rome "La Sapienza", University of Molise, University of Siena.
I'm also research consultant in a several Italian companies and ONG: MA.G.I.C.A., Downing Street, Eventlab.
I'm also columnist for an italian magazine about internet culture (Internet Magazine), writing on social consequences of web 2.0 services and social media technologies.
