ICT Manager at BALTIC centre for contemporary Art

One of the great things about working in IT in the North East, especially at a place like BALTIC, is that I get the opportunity to meet some great people and to work with so many fantastic organisations.
Over the past 2 years it has been my pleasure to work with Codeworks Connect, the Supermondaysand Bytenight teams, the IT directors forum, the Arts council, the AV festival and the GNAF digital subgroup.
I have also enjoyed the opportunity to write for the Codeworks Technotes Column in the journal, and for Bdaily.
Over the past 10 years in IT I have studied a wide range of disciplines and gain the following certifications:
Comptia Security + (2007)
Comptia Network +
Cisco CCNA (Lapsed)
MCP, MCSA
Implement and Administer a win2k Network Infrastructure
Install, Configure & Administer win 2000 Server
Install, Configure & Administer win 2000 Professional
Implementing and Supporting Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0
Comptia A+ (hardware 2003)
Comptia A+ (software 2003)
ACTC Apple Certified Technical Co-ordinator (os x)
Apple Basic Administration
Apple Server Administration
Acrobat Adobe Certified Expert (ACE)
When it comes to IT, I see myself as a good all rounder covering all aspects of ICT from networking to telecoms desktop and server support, but also working with point of sales, AV, video, web design/development and social media.
If I had to say what my specialisms were I would tend to say that that I favour strategic design and implementation, working with images and video files and networks.
