Joined Harvey Nash as a Resoucer and I am now a Consultant with my own portfolio of clients. I work within the Infrastructure (Contracts) team soucing and interviewing individuals from 1st Line / Helpdesk support with to Technical Project Managers and Architects. As a new business consultant I am also tasked with bringing new clients into Harvey Nash, whilst managing existing relationships.

I held an elected post with responsibility for two membership organisations both in excess of 2,000 members. This included approximately 45 sports clubs and 150 societies. I was responsible for the annual budget (£100,000) and led these organisations politically.
As a trustee of the Students' Union I was liable for a £5,000,000 organisation, and had to take decisions ranging from its budget and staffing. This organisation represented the student population (8,000 students).
I also held the post of Eastern Rep on the National BUSA Exec holding the vote for 6 higher education institutions including Essex, UEA and Cambridge University in UK-wide student sport.

At the end of my year in office Essex was recognised by BUSA (now BUCS) at the 'Most Improved University in the Country'.

2:2 , International Relations and Politics , 2003 — 2006

Completed a 3-year degree focusing on Politics and good governance, as well as European Politics, Peace and Conflict Resolution and International Relations. I focused my studies on two areas I find particuarly interesting; Latin America and Soviet Politics.

In addition to my academic studies I held several positions of responsibility during University and ended up winning several awards including Student Volunteer of the Year (for creating and running a community sports program in local schools), Exceptional Services to Sport and several inter-club awards. I also captained the University Cricket 2nd XI to the title in my second year, played in the University 1st XI for 2 years, and won the internal Cricket competition in my final year. Our Radio show was nominated for 'Newcomer of the Year' and ended up being elected to post of VP Sports and Societies in my third year by a big majority. I hope it highlights my willingness to 'get involved'.
